Affordable Housing bonds

Bay Area Housing for All is working to support the campaign for a nine-county general obligation bond through BAHFA to raise $20 Billion for affordable housing with $700 million coming to Marin County. This funding is badly needed. Affordable housing is woefully underfunded and needlessly complicated.

State Legislation

California has struggled to build enough homes for decades, causing high prices and homelessness. "Local control" has made it hard to construct new housing, as residents often oppose building in their neighborhoods. This has led to very little new housing being built for nearly 50 years, making housing costs skyrocket.

We are a part of a coalition educating the public about general obligation bonds on the November 2024 ballot.

Also advocating for a constitutional amendment to pass affordable housing bonds with less than a 2/3 vote.
