Vote Yes on Prop 5
In the upcoming election, Prop 5 sets the threshold for passing bonds for affordable housing and infrastructure at 55%, just like for public schools. Prop 5 protects public safety by making it easier to upgrade fire stations, infrastructure, and emergency preparedness to keep Marin communities safe. By giving our communities more power to choose how to address their unique needs, Prop 5 shifts decisions about public policy and spending priorities away from state government and into the hands of local voters and taxpayers.
Voting YES on Prop 5 can make a real difference, especially in the Bay Area.

State Legislation
California has struggled to build enough homes for decades, causing high prices and homelessness. "Local control" has made it hard to construct new housing, as residents often oppose building in their neighborhoods. This has led to very little new housing being built for nearly 50 years, making housing costs skyrocket.

We are a part of a coalition working to educate the public about ways to expand housing in the Bay Area.
